Viola! My pyramids and moons! I dreamed it and woke up and said to self, "self three rulers".  I was going to order a silicone mould from eBay 28$ and shipping from Taiwan and wait no time for that.  Found three soft rubber rulers at the bargain shop taped tightly together with electrical tape into pyramid shape and here is the result I'm happy!  The moon is out of a paper towel roll lined with freezer paper wax side in so soap wouldn't stick hoo hoo ! That worked too! I'm very happy!!!  These will go into my Egyptian Skin Repair Bars. French milled olive oil coconut oil vegetable oil soaps (grated )scented with patchouli EO.  Now to make the rest of the soap and get them in.   Stay Tuned !

Tiger Stripes

I've been so busy with selling soap it was driving me crazy not making any LOL so today I decided it was time to do just that.  After two days of watching soap tv on you tube and opening my doors to sales I was up early to get this going.  As with all the soaps I make I have a vision into mind what I'm going to do and this is what I in visioned .  A tiger stripe soap.  I watched so many YouTube videos I liked this the best! And note new soap mold made with mainstays from Walmart no more freezer paper! Yay. I saw this idea from Eve's Garden Soaps and had to make it so if she ever reads my blog thank you Eve ! So these pictures show my kind of steps in making this.  First mixed my oils and lye let them cool made my mold ready.  After oils were liquified I scooped some into my beakers and mixed in my lab colours black (activated charcoal) neon orange mica, and white titanium oxide.  Gave them all a good stir. After mixing my lye water in with the rest of the oils and brought it to real thin trace I mixed the soap into the black Pyrex  bowl first then divided the rest of the soap in half added the orange to one pot and the white to the other, gave them a fast blend with the stick blender.  I added in my frangrance oils and a small amount of pure orange extract to each mix.  With my colours , from the big pots I poured them into smaller beakers and made a stripe black then white then orange alternating colours till the mold was full I just had enough to fill this is ten pounds of soap!! I spooned in left over which wasn't much in this case orange and smoothed it out with a skewer to design the top sprayed it with alcohol and made a tent to cover it added bubble wrap to keep it warm.  I'm very excited about it! I'm getting better and better with my soaping! And my business is getting a following. It's put to bed now 24 hours at least before I can reveal it.  Stay tuned. 

Soap Day !!! Open for Biz

Today I opened for business my back soap room was buzzing all day ! Thank you to Thunder Bay Buy and Sell I sold out of my Egyptian Nites Skin Repair Bars!!! My freezer was my order desk ! (Lol) I had a wash station there too that people used to try samples of my soap! I made 130$ worth of sales!  I love to work and play at home I've decided that's my goal! ( made more money today then I do at my normal job) I had a dream come true today as well in walks my now 26 year old step son grade 1 teacher Miss Kehtonen whom I can call Vicky now ! She makes wash cloths and has offered to make them for me to go with my soaps.  On my Pinterest Board, Soaps and Creams people keep pinning the same board soap bundled in a wash cloth, I had asked our 55 plus knitting ladies if they would make them for me I was told no they only make socks ???? Really well Vicky to the rescue.  She bought 5 soaps off me today and pictures below is my Dandelion Sweetgrass Healing Bars wrapped with a cloth and bow !!! We are getting together and making a soap package ! All I can say is.....YAY !!! 

Organizing

Evening everyone.  Today was organizing day.  I am getting a nice little collection of soaps here now and have sold quite a few too !  I've been watching soap tv on you tube all day in between,  very inspiring.  I really needed to take stock of everything before I could make anything (note the green bucket) it's pineapple weed infusing in oils.  It's  got to sit for at least a month.  Thanks for reading !

Soap Girls!

These are two of my girls,Jasmine, my future daughter in law and her friend Ashlee they have been promoting and selling my soaps Port Arthur Clinic and KFC.  I just can't thank them enough ! They get free soap for now.  When my biz grows more I'll pay them. For sure!

Dandelion Sweetgrass CP Soap

Here are the cut bars they are big and bulky a few air pockets but that makes them look more rustic.  I'm  happy how they turned out! For the recipe go to the previous blog entries I have it listed. In the spring or whenever you can collect the yellow dandelion heads and infuse them into oil I used olive oil here a good 24 oz bottle of it and I also added about 3 oz of Sweetgrass fragrance oil (sorry Janice I forgot to tell you that I forgot ) it sat for a little over two months.  Amazing soap I will be selling these for 7$ Cdn.  I ship if anyone wants to order :) just putting it out there!!! But it's extra so if you do order more make it worthwhile!

Dandelion Soap

Remember way back in the spring I picked dandelion heads and infused them into olive oil and sweetgrass.  That oil sat now two months and I made soap with it today omg it's soo sweet smelling.  I wanted to do a two colour swirl with white and green so using white titanium oxide and french green clay I divided the soap in half one white one green. Poured into the dividers then slowly pulled the dividers out and screwered them with a mantra swirl.  I'm so proud of this one .  Coconut oil, shea butter, olive infused oil, palm oil, pure all vegetable oil, sodium hydroxide (lye)
