Where has Winter Gone! Happy New Year!

Hi Folks Happy New Year! I have taken a long break from Soap Making, I was so busy last summer soaping away and have to say I did pretty good for my first year of soaping! I really want to reflect on this past year. When I was introduced to soap making by my sister Donna, I got right into it and learned as much as I possibly could about this handmade craft. I soaped and soaped and soaped and got my bars into a local Organic Shop and I really want to thank Amy Baryluk for taking me into her space and giving me an opportunity to create and grow my new venture. When Amy closed her shop for the winter I kind of went ito a stand still. I had a lot of inventory left over and was really hoping to get into the local craft markets for the Christmas season...good luck with that, you had to book a table way in advance and I really missed out. I did however give a lot of soap away for Christmas gifts and my friends were pretty excited to get their gift boxes. I put an assortment of each kind of soap bar into a Christmas Box and I am sure each box was worth at least 50 bucks! It is a time when it is hard to find a different kind of gift to give as everyone can just go out and get what they need, and instead of a impersonable gift card, these soap boxes made a perfect unique gift. My dad was invited to a Holiday Dinner and got a Soap Box from me to give to the hostess he told me she and her daughter were fighting over the soaps, the daughter ended up stashing a few bars in her purse LOL How Great is That!!!

I really have to mention alot of thanks to Sandy Wilson from Little Meadows Sheep Farm, in Pennsylvania for being my mentor in all this. Sandy raises sheep, she is an Emergency Nurse, she also breeds German Shepards, which is how my sister met her, as she got Caden, a great dog, from Sandy. And thats how it all started. Donna met Sandy got a dog, they became friends, Sandy sent her some soaps, Donna told me I should make soap and Voila! Natures Touch Organic Soap was born.

I am sorry I haven't updated my blog for the last few months but please keep tuned in because this New Year will bring more soaping news, new trials and errors and hopefully more successful business

Welcome to my new follower I am sorry I haven't made any progress for you to follow but hope you continue to read about me and my soaping ventures! Now lets see, I need to find my books and come up with a new receipe! and Thank You to Everyone, May God Lead Your Way in the New Year! Happy 2011
