Foxy Roxy Valentines Soap

I'm loving my heart silicone mold.  Tonight I crock potted  (is that even a word ?) all my tiger bar scraps and shavings which I've been saving since last summer. French Milled.   Added orange butter from New Directions, (smells like oranges) shea butter, pure orange extract. Added in some bright orange neon mica.  It didn't make it neon but it did make them a fox colour.  Perfect.  Funny how things turn out when you go.....oh?...awwww;(.....Oh!!!!  Added some gold sprinkles in the mix so they sparkle a bit.  Very citrus smelling.  For fun I cut up my last peachy tie dye soap (that was hard to do ) <sniff> and stuck them in as ears and little triangles for eyes .
                Little foxy devils
Added some sprinkles of Pink Himalayan salts.  When I spooned the soap in the mold at half full I really pressed it into the mold then I sprinkled salts on that first layer.  Continued to spoon the rest of the soap into each cavity and really smoothed it down. Then sprinkled the top with more salts.   Have fun with this one Valentine ! Can't wait to remove them tomorrow. The waiting is the hard part. And with the magic of a good sleep Voila,  here they are

Love how the pointy ears allow them to stand up!  I didn't even think about that when I did it. Ingenious if I say so myself.  After washing with it you can sit it up on it's ears and the water will drain off them.  Oooooo I love making soap.  Foxy Roxy Orange, Valentine.  I hope you enjoy reading as much as I enjoy sharing.

Valentines Soap Red Hot Cinnamon

Turned out fantastic! Crock Pot French Milled fragranced with red hot cinnamon, frosting fragranced wisteria lilac, colours magenta lab colour, pearl white lab colour white titanium dioxide. Silicone mold 49 cent thrift store find. Gold mica for a bit of dazzle.  Don't eat them.... That's what I told my son lol
I used up soap trimmings I've been saving a mix match of soaps past (never throw them out) put in crock pot added some glycerin, half and half cream, lab colour, fragrance.  Let the crock pot do it's thing.  When it's melted (always go back and give it a stir) pour into mold and push it in.  I sprinkled blueberry tea leaves on top.  I had finely ground shea butter coconut shavings put that into crock pot added white TD and pearl white lab colour.  Added in fine blueberry tea leaves I chopped in my grinder,  heated till just clumpy (took like 5 mins) spooned it on top of the red heart spread it out and sprinkled gold mica on top  let it sit 10 hours and voila!  Gorgeous! Thanks for reading and happy soaping!

Secret Santa

Christmas Cheer

I had lots of bubble bars and bath bombs that aren't a great seller unfortunately and so instead of being stuck with Christmas stock I made them into gift sets. Bought some pretty Christmas bags and wrapped them in tissue paper.  I placed an add on Thunder Bay buy and sell FB page for ten people who were needing a gift they couldn't afford.  There were so many responders.  Wish I had more.   What better way to promote my soap by giving to people in need as well. I spent my day delivering gifts to strangers and got so many thank yous and hugs and well wishes.  I cried lots with people too.  I've never done this before what a great feeling.  New friends and Christmas Blessings.  A bit of Gods work.  Nature's Touch would Ike to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support this past year and to wish a  Merry Christmas to all.  Remember it's about love, not gifts, and most of all the celebration of the birth of my Saviour The Lord Jesus Christ.  I loved doing this and will make it a new tradition from now on. Here's the packages.
I did 11 deliveries today. One lady I made her a soap bag the red one for her daughter.   I squeezed one more bag in for her she sounded so sad.   Here's what they got
And I threw in some older soaps too!  Santa Came!! Merry Christmas everyone to you and your families I hope this season brings you love and peace.  Thanks for reading.

Wierd

Have you ever seen soap like this?!! These are supposed to be the black Egyptian Bar.    I purchased activated charcoal from Kelly's Nutrition House  and made my bars as usual but when I took it out of it's mold they were grey.  When I added the charcoal to the batch the soap was black.  I was sooo dissappointed at the fact.  I sold them anyways as it had all the same benifits of the skin repair bar.  Wow,  after three months this is how it looks.  It's still bubbly and silky like it should be but look at the characteristics .  I'm sitting here thinking Fred Flintstone LOL.  But really how KOOL!!!   That's the fun thing about soap you never know.  I love it.  I have to make these again on purpose.  Maybe call it Bam Bam !!! Caveman series, or Bed Rock ?  Wilma!!!!! Well there we have it lmao thanks for looking.
I only have these three left out of the sixty I made.  Not bad. Great Bar of Soap indeed.

Black Black Black

I have been watching YouTube videos on soap making and came across one soaper on Soap Queen TV who said she always mixes her oils and lye day before and leaves them so they become room temperature. She said always better.   Hmmmm? Well this morning before I went to work I did just that.  Thought ok I'll try as I knew I had a tight schedule after work and I needed this done as I have orders to fill.  Mixed my oils and lye put in a safe place and I let everything sit from 8 am to 11 pm tonight (out Christmas visiting) when I got home I just had to prepare my mold and whip it together. I like this method. I'll definitely keep soaping this way.  Everything then is at the same temperature and clean up a breeze.  I made the Egyptian Nite Skin Repair again.  Love the black!
Stay tuned for the bar. I mixed assorted colour embeds in it this time.  As always the waiting is the toughest thing to do.   Thanks for reading and Happy Winter Soltise!! Peace be with you in the longest day of the year. :))

Hobo Stove

This has absolutely nothing to do with soap but had to share .  My husband John and I are trying to keep busy as we are both quitting smoking.  So to occupy the time he decided to make little hobo stoves with tin cans.  A Johnny Stove.  There are two cans here.  One smaller one that he took one lid off with can opener, drilled holes into bottom of can and sides.  Here is inside view:
Here is top view.  The inside can fits perfect into outside can.  So you have holes on bottom for ash to fall out and airflow.  You make a fire,  sticks,  birch bark,  forest floor material.  He bought a roll of chicken wire and cut a piece big enough around to fit into the tin can groove to hold your pot.
The one part is open so you have a spot for fuelling your fire.  And when your done it fits inside the bottom of can.
I'm surprised it's holding up this big stainless steel pot.  A good survival item.  I think I'll put one in the trunk of my car.  And I think I might make some and sell them lol neat thanks for looking.

Rudolph Red Nose Soap

How adorable is this?!! My son designed it I made it.  A whole day of soaping for this soap masterpiece.  Organic Melt and Pour eyes, nose and antlers. Ingredients: olive, castor, coconut, crisco new/palm.  White titanium dioxide, brown oxide, distill water, sodium hydroxide.  Activated charcoal for black eyes, red lab colour for nose. Sprinkle of Cocoa powder and gold mica.  Candy Cane, Pomegranate Noir and Tahitian Monoi  Blossom fragrances.  (In m&p only) cp soap unscented so no acceleration of trace.  These turned out fab.  You can mix melt and pour with cp, these embeds turned out exactly how I wanted.  I used two dividers to pour the white and brown then you pull the dividers up and out to make the sections.  Sprinkled cocoa powder then embedded nose.  Added more brown soap then embedded the eyes.  Poured the rest skewered the top to form a peak and embedded the antlers in the sides of the peak.  Antlers were made using wreaths cut in half.  A kiniption that I thought up and are perfect for this project.  What a fun gift these will make.  Next maybe I'll do an elf :))

Coral Reef "Deadly Weapon"

Deadly Weapon fragranced cp soap with key notes of strawberry bring this to life !  It's spicy exotic.  Remember in my last post how it riced up? Well that mistake turned into something fantastic.  That's the thing wth soap.  It does it's own thing sometimes to acheive results like this.  This piece if you look close there's a dragons head in the design.  Mistake? Very fitting.  I got 17 of them from this batch sell 7$ each

Deadly Weapon

Coral Gel Colourant love how this turned out.  Who knew soap could be so exciting? Well the answer is once you start your addicted.  This one looks like a coral reef up close because the fragrance riced up quick and I pored it fast.  So in the pot swirl is the good mistake here as it looks amazing.  Scented with Deadly weapon and strawberry fragrances from Saffire Blue it's spicy exotic. I can't wait to see it cut into bars.  Ingredients here are olive, castor, shea butter, avocado, palm, coconut.  Distill Water, Sodium hydroxide, coral gel colourant, deadly weapon and strawberry fragrance.  I made this soap to match my bubble bars made with same fragrance.
Check my earlier posts for the bubble bars.  This is going to make a nice bath set. Smells so good!!

Soap Packaging

Saw some paper doilies in Dollorama and thought hmm I think those are pretty maybe I can figure out how to use that for wrapping soap.  And here it is and easy. I'm wrapping my Eqyptian skin repair with it.  In behind I slipped in the ingredient card.  For Christmas they kind of look like a snowy pkg.  And after Christmas I would use for a wedding favor wrap. Curl ribbon and doilies 5 bucks.

Bubble Bars

Not as easy as it looks.  With practice tho I can see it getting easier .  My problem was it rolling and sticking to the freezer paper. I finally got it to this and for my first attempt I'm ok with them.  They are small.
Expensive ingredients too.  But I think you could make your money back on these for sure.  Clean up was pretty bubbly. Lol all natural ingredients:  food colour green and pink sugar based. Green and pink.  Baking soda, cornstarch, tapioca starch, cream of tarter, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, which is derived from the coconut and palm trees.  Glycerin, castor oil, warm apple cider fragrance. They are spicy smelling.  Very Christmas like to me.  For my first batch I'm pretty happy.

Townplace Suites Marriott

Today was my first craft show for quite awhile.  I have been working night and day for the last few months for this one day.  It was a huge success!  More then half of my soaps are gone and a winner of my soap basket was Milan from Longlac. A little 10 year old Hockey Player here for a tournament.  Milan and her fellow team mates kept coming back to my table to smell all the soap, so cute, and she bought a hockey puck bubblegum soap filled out the ballot and became the Big Winner !  I'm so happy it was her.  A surprised Grandmother when I called them and more excited when I dropped it off.  A great day and a successful one! My hard work paid off today.  Now I need to make more.  The Egyptian Nites Skin Repair once again "Big Seller" sold out this one I have to keep making.  Thanks to all who came out today.
