Royalty Soaps Piping Set

I watch a lot of you tube and this had been one way to learn how to make soaps.  I have a few favourites I watch and one of them is Katie from Royalty Soaps.  The Duchess of Soap. She's funny and fun to watch.  Just recently she teamed up with Nuture's Soap Supply and together they created a soap piping kit which I had to have.  You see all of Katie's soaps that I've seen are piped and I love her technique. So with further ado I created my first piped topped soap. In the kit you get a link to Katie's tutorials and recipes and a whole bunch of good soapy stuff.  I just did her recipe it sounded like huge amounts of oils so I cut the recipe in half.  Here's the kit.
Plus a few extra things I ordered.
These are just two of the colour micas I received in the kit. Purple Vibrance and Gold Shimmer. From Nuture's.   I had someone ask me about lavender soap and came up with using these two to create Royal Lavender bars today. The bottom layer of this soap is the purple vibrance  then I put a second layer on top of that with the gold shimmer. Then I used the rest of the soap leaving it white and piped the top. Sprinkling it with both purple and gold mica using a pipettes then sprinkled glitter on top.  For my first try it looks pretty good. Next time tho I will make the extra batch of Katie's piping recipe so I can make a few layers.  This one only has one.
It's pretty and the lavender eo smells sooo good. If you want to learn how to pipe I suggest you go to YouTube and subscribe to Katie's Channel.  You'll be inspired! For now happy soaping. Royalty Soaps and go to Nuture's Soap Supply Carrie will set you up to get going on this new adventure. Look for the Royalty Soap Piping Kit and add it to your cart, seriously! When I cut them I'll post the reveal here. Can't wait! So after the 24 hour wait here are the bars. Gorgeous!
The purple vibrance mica is beautiful!
Heres the top of the bar..pretty.  I'm really happy with the results.
The gold shimmer just makes the lavender pop. Thanks for stopping in. Until next time feel free to leave me a comment or two.

Harvest Spice Steeped Tea Soap

Third in this series of Steeped Tea soaps.  I am in aww of steeped tea.  Introduced to me through local networking.  My Steeped Tea consultant Julie McGowan has brought me into the realm of drinking exotic teas and introduced me in the thought of making soaps with it.  Love love love. This soap is made with the steeped tea Harvest Spice and it tastes and smells so Delish.
The photo is sideways but here's the labtl of ingredients in this tea.  Using my new fav soap recipe olive, coconut, palm, avocado, sweet almond oils, rainwater, (fresh collected), sodium hydroxide. It's a beautiful conditioning soap.  With brewed tea it's exfoliating as well.
I used little ceasar dog food containers,  sterilzed of course, for the soap mold. These make a nice size bar of soap have a pretty design from the ripples on the sides and the soap pops out nicely.  In the above photo you can see the beautiful caramel colour the soap turned to from subbing the water with the tea.  Beautiful!!!  Before pouring the soap I sprinkled finely ground tea into each container so the tops would be covered with tea leaves.
I designed with a skewer, a leaf pattern and then sprinkled finely ground harvest spice tea on top.
After 24 hours I got these!
A beautiful Harvest Moon formed on each one! That was not even planned! But how perfect for this soap. The tea on the top side is dark and black it stained the sides of the bar too and looks fabulous.  I added a caramel cider fragrance to this batch and it's fitting.  Warm and yet awakening! With a pumpkin pie soap together would make a beautiful hostess gift!!! Fitting for Thanksgiving!!!
Here are the two sides.  The back is beautiful too with the tea leaf design on the back! Retail $5.50 cdn.  Love them.  Thanks for once again stopping in and your interest. Until next time. Your fav Soap Lady! Bye bye
